Innovative dual head flying prober from Huntron
Huntron Access DH ProberMill Creek, Washington; August 15, 2010
Huntron introduced the all new ACCESS DH (Dual Headed) Automated Robotic Probing Station, designed to provide
accurate robotic probing for engineers and technicians who test, diagnose, and troubleshoot printed circuit assemblies.
The new Access DH is an open robotic platform that can be used with traditional Huntron Tracker products or can be configured to
work with traditional test instruments, (Oscilloscopes, Spectrum Analyzers, etc.) or custom test cards (Boundary Scan).
Each probing test head is equipped with USB, Ethernet, and Fire wire communication interface connections. Also a number of positive
and negative drive voltages (3.3V to 24V) are wired in for powering test cards that may be mounted to the heads
A high resolution USB color camera for probe targeting or inspection is mounted on each test head.
“The initial driving force behind the DH development was the need to automate tests in the Gold Disk Program”,
said Bill Curry President of Huntron. “For approximately 20 years Huntron has been a key supplier to the US military repair depots in the diagnostics of printed circuit cards.
We have improved our products to accommodate the changing needs. Today the military is faced with limited manpower, a larger variety diagnostic challenges,
spare card shortages and legacy support. The Military 2M program has been a very cost effective solution and to automate the process is the logical next step.
The second driving force was to provide a second head for measurement applications. Our customers want to drive with one head and sense with the other. They also want to
easily change between test instruments to address various diagnostic challenges.”
Boundary-scan Boost for Huntron Robotic Probers
Eindhoven, the Netherlands; September 14, 2010.
Huntron, Inc., a leader in PCB diagnosis and troubleshooting equipment for over 30 years, and JTAG Technologies, a tier
one supplier of boundary-scan products world-wide, today announced the integration of their test methods within Huntron's
range of prober enhanced analog signature analysis products.
“Huntron Tracker” is synonymous with PCB fault detection using the technique known as analog signature analysis.
From today users of this technology can now take advantage of advancements made in the digital world that allow PCBs to be tested using built-in
logic circuits known as boundary-scan or JTAG present in ICs such as FPGAs, CPLDs DSPs, and microprocessors. JTAG Technology is now
commonplace on many of today's digital and mixed signal designs.
“By equipping a Huntron system that utilizes their robotic probe technology with boundary-scan capability you can further enhance the test coverage achieved with these iconic test systems”,
says Peter van den Eijnden President of JTAG Technologies.
“It works by synchronizing the stimulus/measurement probe of the Huntron with a boundary-scan test vector that is generated by JTAG Technologies equipment.
An example of this would be in testing the continuity of a PCB track from a JTAG/boundary-scan compliant part to an edge connector. Without a sense probe on the edge
connector you would be unable to detect an open circuit condition. The Huntron Robotic prober adds this facility in a low-cost and flexible manner”.
Bill Curry, President of Huntron Inc., says, “Our customers have asked us to integrate boundary-scan into our products. In order to meet this request
for added-value digital testing, we are very pleased to collaborate with JTAG Technologies in offering an integrated solution.
Customers will gain greater test coverage while maintaining fixtureless test access”.

Huntron introduces New Tracker 2800 series diagnostic tools for troubleshooting and repair of PCA's
Mill Creek, Washington, July, 16, 2008 - Huntron, Inc., a supplier of
tools for engineers and technicians who test, diagnose, and troubleshoot
printed circuit assemblies, announced today a new Huntron Tracker 2800
and Huntron Tracker 2800S.
The New 2800 series of Huntron Trackers are designed to compliment
conventional test instruments in the debug and troubleshooting process.
Using the proven power-off test method known as Tracker (Analog)
Signature Analysis, the Trackers are suited for today's mixed signal
cards where Analog and Digital are mixed together. The Tracker 2800's
feature enhanced range selection, color touch screen, full signature
zoom and fast signature refresh. There is a built-in DC Voltage source
for testing gated devices. The Tracker 2800S has built-in scanning
capability for up to 40 pins.
“The Tracker 2800 is the latest extension of our original Tracker 1000
product line developed 33 years ago. Trackers continue to be a key
component on the repair bench along with DMM's and O'scopes”. said Bill
Curry, President of Huntron. “The 2800 is designed for the technician
who wants to grab a pair of probes and look at a few suspect areas on a
card.”

New Huntron Access USB Probers announced
Mill Creek, Washington - Huntron, Inc., a leading supplier of flexible, automated diagnostic solutions to help people solve circuit card problems,
announced today their new robotic platforms. The Huntron Access USB and the Huntron Access 2 USB, incorporate USB frame grabbers, linear encoders, and can be configured
with the Huntron Tracker Model 30 embedded inside. This enables the use of a single USB connection to the PC. They also work with the ProTrack and TrackerPXI.
“We introduced our PCI/PXI Access Probers two years ago and have had a great response to the product. Now, we have added the Access 2 USB for
our customers who needed a larger platform. The Access 2 USB has a maximum board-under-test size of 22”x 23”. Second, we can now offer an integrated diagnostic
station, with the Tracker and frame grabber built into the prober. This allows integration to a black box or system tester with a single USB connection and one power plug.
Finally, we have added a second camera that displays a real-time image of the actual probing of the board under test,” said Bill Curry President of Huntron.
“By migrating our Access probers over to USB cameras and embedding our Huntron Tracker Model 30 we can take advantage of smaller footprint laptops or other test
executives to control and run our systems. This saves valuable bench real estate and allows our systems to be integrated with other functional test systems
without using card slot resources.”

Huntron introduces new Tracker Model 30
Mill Creek, Washington - Mill Creek, Washington, August 8, 2007 - Huntron, Inc., a supplier of tools for engineers and technicians who test, diagnose,
and troubleshoot printed circuit assemblies, announced today the release of the New Huntron Tracker Model 30, a compact, rugged design with USB interface
that will compliment and fit into functional test stations easily.
The Huntron Tracker Model 30 is USB version of the Huntron TrackerPXI, this new design will update and replace the Huntron Protrack model 20, Huntron's core product.
The Huntron Model 30 is controlled by the Huntron Workstation 4.1 software and is compatibable with the Huntron Access robotic family. “We have customers that have
not adopted PXI and are still fighting the overcrowding of the workbench, the Huntron Tracker model 30 is 50% of the size of the Protrack, this gives back some
bench space, and allows better access to the unit under test.” Said Jim Crosson Huntron's Vice President of Sales. “The compact design is one feature but the Huntron
Model 30 was developed from our Tracker PXI, and we incorporated new technology which are passing along to our customers. the Huntron Tracker Model 30 will be on

announced today the Huntron Integration Service Network for its TrackerPXI and ACCESS Robotic Probing Station Systems.
“Huntron traditionally has been involved in stand alone test solutions; however our customers are driving us to integrate our TrackerPXI and Access Robotic
Probing Station as a complimentary diagnostic tool for a wide variety Automatic Test Equipment.
We always try and provide our customers with the most cost effective solutions, and historically Huntron has very little experience with integration.
